Abstract

The achievement of quality education in Nigeria has been a hard nut to crack. Before the exit of the colonial masters, education had attained a qualitative height that could sustain the nation, but at the moment, the nation is grappling to fortify the falling standard and quality of her education. It is on this basis that the study investigated into the “Intervention for Quality Education in Bayelsa State: The Role of Education Development Trust Fund”. The study beamed its search on the Needs, benefits, challenges of quality education, importance of educational intervention and the activities of the intervention is tangencies in their contributions towards the lifting of quality education in Bayelsa State. It concluded that quality education is the pillar of hope of every nation, and its actualization is not dependent on a particular part but a whole. And further recommended that: the government should provide schools with access to internet, computer and other technological devices to aid learning; Strengthen educational infrastructure; Personnel should employ different methods of teaching to accommodate every learner; Enforce supervision and monitoring both on the students and personnel to ensure check sand balances
